The Elderly Nuptials and Other Exciting News

Since Dave won’t update this – even though I’ve been bugging (ok, maybe nagging ) him for like 2 weeks – I’ll just do it myself!

So today was the Big Day. My 72-yr old grandma got married. The wedding was nice. We’ll definitely post pics, because, let’s be honest, watching a 72 year old woman drive her Hoverround down the aisle to meet her 85 year old soon to be hubby who is parked at the alter in his matching Hoverround was just plain hysterical!!!! Cute though. I sang, my sis played her violin and my mom was the “daughter of honor”. Here are some pics from the big event.

Well, a couple months ago I posted that our little man was crawling. Now, he’s walking!!!! Only taking a few steps at a time, since, afterall, he can get where he wants to go much quicker with his speed crawl that he’s mastered, but it’s so super cute!!! So hard to believe he’s a toddler and getting so big so fast! We just love him to pieces and he’s an absolute blast to have around.

While I usually love fall and the changing leaves, cooling weather and approaching holiday season, I am so dreading it all right now! I blame the pregnant hormones for not wanting to celebrate the holidays being 8-9 months preggo and trying to holiday shop (since we never know until last minute who’s buying for who or what family gift exchanges we’re doing). Not to mention, I have like no stomach for all the good food, since ya know, I have a kid in the way who is taking up all my internal space . And I just realized that I won’t fit into any of my cute coats. Grrrr. Or rather, Brrrr.

We finally named our little guy. We’ve decided to name him Broderick Aaron and call him Brody. It took us a while to come up with a unique name that we both loved, but we finally found it! We were going to keep it a secret, but Jill guessed it at church one Sunday. And that was the deal: if someone guessed it, we’d tell! It’s getting closer and closer to time for him to arrive! I’m excited and nervous all at the same time!!!
