Just another update…

In case you haven’t noticed, it has been many months since Dave posted on our blog. That’s because he’s been extremely busy. Work and projects are keeping him on his toes and leaves him little spare time. He finally got his long awaited promotion at Miami. This is hopefully only the first of more to come! He’s working on certifications so that he can further his career. He passed the first one in June and will be heading to DC in September for the second course/test.

We celebrated our 3rd anniversary on July 23rd with a nice steak dinner with all the extras (and without kids!) at Outback. It was wonderful and we really enjoyed going out to eat just the 2 of us! It had been a LONG time since that had happened! Dave was a good husband and brought me home a beautiful bouquet of flowers as well. That made the evening even more wonderful!

The next big event will be Mason’s 2nd birthday in a month! Hard to believe he’ll be two already. We’re planning a big picnic with friends and family. It should be fun! Brody is 6 months old now. He’s sitting up and playing and Mason loves his little brother. He helps soothe him when he fusses and keeps him laughing when we’re in the car. Mason is a wonderful big brother and we can’t wait to watch their relationship develop. Brody just stares up at Mason and smiles at him all the time. It’s really adorable.

School starts for Dave and I both in two weeks. It’s been over two years since I’ve been in a classroom! I’ll be taking evening classes so Dave can stay home with the boys and Dave will take his class over his lunch break at work. I decided to get my Bachelor’s degree in social work and then hopefully I’ll pursue a Master’s in Health and Gerontology so that I can be a Medical Social Worker. It’ll take me a while since I’m only going part time, but I’ll finish it eventually!

That’s pretty much all for now. I can’t think of any other updates that we have! We’ll post some updated pics of the boys and other events soon!
