Thankful…

We’re two days away from the Thanksgiving Holiday. This time of year is usually filled with family dinners, conversations, hugs and smiles. I was trying to think of a witty post of all the things I’m thankful for, outside the usual mushy stuff. But instead, I’m going to bore you with the mushy stuff.

This morning I was awakened and rolled over in bed to find I was face to face with a little boy, nearing 2 years of age. After getting out of bed we went to get his big brother, whom he loves, dearly. I have two precious, gorgeous little boys that call me mommy. Two little boys that love each other and have been the light of my life for the last 3+ years. For them, I am so very thankful.

We went downstairs and I had my usual conversation with my husband while he was at work. I always start my day off by talking to him. This man who loves me more than I could ever have asked, who loves me through thick and thin, for better or for worse. For him, I am forever thankful.

Those are the three things that first came to mind when I was thinking of things for which I am thankful for. I have been blessed with a wonderful family, spectacular friends, a place to call home, a church family and my salvation. These things are for which I am most thankful this holiday season.
