Looking Back, Looking Ahead

2008 was filled with good times for us. Here’s a little year in rewind:

Jan- Brody turned 1!
Feb-May must not have been too exciting or my mommy brain is failing me…I can’t remember a single thing that happened in there….
June- We headed to VA to meet up with some friends I met online several years ago. We all have babies born in Sept 2005 and we’ve been chatting online since we were pregnant, so we all met up in person for the first time…it was a fantastic time!
July- We celebrated our 4th wedding anniversary.
August- We found out Mason was still allergic to everything under the sun… here’s to better luck in Jan 09 when we retest.
September- My sister got married and the boys got to be in their first wedding as the ring bearers. I was the Matron of Honor! Mason turned 3 just a few days later and had a great party at Parky’s Farm!
October- We went to Gatlinburg for a fun trip with some of our friends from Texas. It was a great time to meet up and hang out shopping and lounging around the cabin.
November- One greasy meal landed me in the hospital where we learned I had a bad gall bladder, so out she came! Not a fun surgery by any means, but I felt immediate relief.
December- Christmas day we up and decided to take a trip to Florida to get away from our 3+ months of sickness and enjoy some beach and sun. It was the best trip we’ve taken in a long time!

As for 2009, we’re not up to much so far. Brody will be 2 in a couple weeks and we’re having a big bash for him. Mason is getting retested for all his allergies and we’ve got our suspicions that he’s got new ones to add to the list. So much for getting rid of them. We’ve got our financial and weight loss goals, but who doesn’t. Dave graduates in May (YAY!!!!!) and we’ll be having a big bash then too. We’ll probably take a trip or two this year…we typically don’t plan too far in advance, so who knows where this years roads will take us! We just signed the boys up for soccer, thanks to the influence of big cousins Josie and Kylee. We’ll see how the boys like it!! I’m sure I’ll post more on that soon!
