Time for an update…

Upcoming events: This Saturday is Miami’s Bicentennial Ball and we’ll be attending! I’m very excited for a formal evening out with dinner, dancing and adult conversation. It should be a blast. We’ll definitely post pics very soon!
We’ll also soon be celebrating all the February birthday’s in my fam. Mine was the 13th, my mom’s was the 16th and Bruce’s is tomorrow, the 20th. So we’re overdue for a family birthday bash!

Brody and Mason- Well, they are typical 2 and 3 year old boys. They are learning to test us and push their boundaries which is totally normal for this stage of development, yet is causing mommy to lean on her “moms of toddler boys” support group a lot here lately! I’m so blessed to have such good friends who are either in this phase with me or just a few steps ahead.
They are enjoying soccer, playdates, going to church, etc. They love playing with other kids their age. We signed Mason up for pre-school at the Fairfield Child Development Center and he’ll start in September. They are full of energy and are as ready as mommy is for spring to be here so they can get outside, go to the zoo, park, Parky’s Farm and all sorts of other fun outdoors stuff!

Dave- Well, graduation is less than 3 months away… we’re overjoyed! He’s working hard and studying. Work, school and being a daddy are all busy rolls to fill!

Linds- Not a whole lot here. I’m done with winter and ready to get out and enjoy warm sunshine. I’m almost half way through my first semester at Liberty University and I love it. I’m so glad to finally be able to go to school full time and have my bachelors degree so close in sight! Only a year away!
Last week, I found out after 6 months of testing that I do indeed have Rheumatoid Arthritis. Not a fun disease to have, especially at 25. There’s no cure, but I’ve started some Disease Modifying Agent drugs that should slow it’s progression. Unfortunately they make the pain worse before it gets better and aren’t easy on the stomach, so it’s been a rough week of adjusting. At this point the disease is only being felt/seen in 22 of 44 joints it typically effects. Mainly my hands and knees. It’s great that we caught it so early so that we can start an aggressive treatment and hopefully I won’t see any of the crippling effects for many, many years. I’ll keep you updated as I know more. I have an amazing Rheumatologist whom I love and she is seeing me every 3 months from here on out.
Babysitting and school on top of the demanding mom and wife jobs are exhausting but they keep life busy and interesting!

So that is what’s up with the Ensor family. We’re all ready for spring and summer…it’s so much more fun and there’s so much more to do than when it’s cold and yucky outside!
