An Update from the Beach!!!

Hello faithful readers! We are currently sitting on the beach in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina!!! We have having a fantastic vacation. For the first time ever, we’re on a family vacation of just the 4 of us. It’s different not having the grandparents, cousins and aunts along.

We are staying at Westgate Resort and it’s very nice. We have a pool, kiddie pool and water play area, a lazy river and a spa all which are right on the beach! Nothing like floating down the lazy river to the sound of the waves crashing only a few feet away! Our room is very nice. We have a balcony that overlooks the ocean as well and the boys love it.

We left on Saturday and checked into our room on Sunday. We took the drive nice and slow and the boys were wonderful. On Sunday evening, we ate some fabulous Godfather’s Pizza and enjoyed a little swim time.

On Monday, we visited the Ripley’s Believe it or not Aquarium. It was wonderful and the kids loved it! It was very neat, and I might even go as far as to say it was cooler than our very own Newport Aquarium! We followed that trip up with a lunch at Jimmey Buffets Margaritaville. The food was amazing! After nap time, we drove around, made a trip to Friendly’s and then went to Piggly Wiggly for some grocery shopping!

Today, we attempted to go have our picture taken holding the baby tigers and chimps, but the place was closed when we got there. Bummer! So we hung out at the outlet malls, which worked out to my advantage. I came home with a late anniversary gift from the Coach store…and it’s a beauty!!! We’re looking forward to going to dinner at Five Guys tonight…something we don’t have at home! After dinner you’ll find us back at the pool or on the beach simply enjoying our vacation!

I would upload pictures, but I forgot the little adapter thingy and while I could do it wirelessly, that’s just too much effort while I”m on vacation . So you’ll have to wait until we get home (if I remember, you know how bad I am at actually following thru with putting pictures up!).

On a side note, I talked to Mason’s preschool teacher today and we set up an appointment to meet with her. I can’t believe in one month my baby will be in school…and he’ll be 4!!! Can you believe it? Where did 4 years go?!

Well, I’m not sure if I’ll be on again before we get home, so until our next update of the rest of our week, we’ll be enjoying the beach! Enjoy your week .
