I’m one proud friend today!
Almost 5 years ago, we began getting to know each other. It was our unborn children who brought us together. Thanks to Baby Center, I have developed an awesome friendship that has added so much to my life! Distance doesn’t seem to matter. We chat as if we were next-door neighbors. We joke as if we were indeed the long lost twins we claim to be. Almost 2 years ago we met in person for the first time… and it was like we’d met a hundred times before.
Lindsay is an amazing friend. We’ve supported each other through pregnancies and she’s been an encouragement to me too many times to count. I have had the privilege of watching her grow in one amazing aspect of her life… the journey to fulfilling her dream to be a writer.
In Virginia almost 2 years ago, we sat and talked about a book she was dreaming of writing. Then from there came short stories, blogs and much more. Lindsay is a phenomenal writer. I’ve sat excitedly hitting the refresh button over and over to see if she was again the latest winner of a contest she’s entered… and most of the time, she was!
It’s been so cool to watch her be mom, writer, wife and friend… she’s an amazing gal (after all, any person who can still find time to write in the midst of keeping up with a 4 yr old, 2 yr old and 2 infant twin boys is…well, amazing!).
Today, I received am amazing gift in the mail! It was a copy of a book, signed by Lindsay, whose name happens to appear on the front cover. I can’t explain my excitement for her or just how proud of her I am! She really, truly deserves this! She’s a talented girl and this type of ability deserves to be in books on store shelves everywhere!!!
You can see about her book here.
One thing I love about Lindsay is how she laughs her way through motherhood. When the rest of us would be locked in the closet, on the floor, in the fetal position, Lindsay is just laughing at what a great blog post her horrid situation would make.
You can read about her mommy adventures on her blog. And trust me, if you need a laugh, this is the place to go.
Lins, I’m so proud of you!!!! I wish you all the success you dream of with your writing career! Thanks for being an amazing friend that no distance can ever separate!!! And if you ever do publish that book on parenting we’ve discussed, my name had so better be on the cover…hah!
