I DID IT!!!!
As of last night, I am officially a college graduate!!!! I am proud to say that I have worked extremely hard over the last 18 months to turn my associates degree into a bachelors. I’ve been taking 2-3 classes every 8 weeks for that entire time, with only a break at Christmas. I turned in my final assignment on Thursday and by Friday it was posted that I have earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Christian Counseling from Liberty University! I am more than thrilled to be done with school- 8 years after I began the college journey.
Dave and my mother in law threw me a surprise graduation party last night with some of my closest friends and family and it was a great time. I thought we were having a small group picnic (and had even planned some of it!) and had no clue that it was going to be a party in my honor! I was excited and thrilled to spend the evening at the park celebrating with some dear friends.
So friends, it CAN be done. You can be a full time mom, wife and go to school full time. It’s not easy. Actually, to be honest, it was purely exhausting. But I did it. I may return in a year or so to continue on for my Masters, but for now, I’m going to spend some much needed time just focusing on my family!
I’m relieved, overjoyed and exhausted! I need a vacation… (hint, hint, Dave!)
