A little bit about me…
I was born into the Shoemaker family as an only child at Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma to two wonderful parents. I lived there until I was 2 and then moved to Ohio, where I have lived ever since. I was raised in a very loving and Christian home. I lost my father unexpectedly at the age of 8, and since then, my mom has been my best friend.
I grew up being very active in church, playing golf all through junior high and high school, as well as singing and performing all over the country in show choirs. After graduation, I had intended on leaving Ohio and attending college in Tennessee. Other plans were in store for me.
Instead of leaving, I stayed here and began attending Miami University in 2002, where I earned an associates degree in Business. During this time, I met the man that would soon become my husband. Declaring ourselves as an official couple on October, 6th, 2002, we both knew we were meant to be. Dave proposed to me at Myriad Botanical Gardens on a park bench underneath the stars overlooking Oklahoma City on August 19th, 2003. The most wonderful day of my life occurred on July 23rd, 2004 when I became an Ensor…for better or for worse!
I feel very blessed to have my husband and two adorable sons. My family feels complete and I’m a very proud and happy wife and mommy! There’s nothing like waking up every morning next to your husband and hearing the little voices of your children call your name to get them out of bed! I love being a mommy and couldn’t imagine my life any other way. Staying at home with the boys and seeing all their “firsts” and watching them grow is such a blessing.
I am also a full time student at Liberty University- a part of their Distance Learning Program. I will graduate with my Bachelors in Psychology and Christian Counseling in May, 2010. It’s been a long road to get this degree, but I’m almost there! I can’t wait!
So that’s my life, from then to now.
